There are some pictures from our home in a Swedish magazine this month. They are not recent -as you can see, no sign of Vilja yet. Hope you like it.
A new home
June 20, 2011
I have been collecting all the ‘leftovers’ from my minihome since I started creating it three years ago. Every time furnitures are replaced in my real home, they have to leave the minihome too. It has been adding up to quite a few homeless miniature-things.
When we were visiting my parents at Samsø recently I found an old doll house at a flea marked. It’s now in our bookshelf homing all the necklaced furnitures I had lying around.
Really it’s a great thing that I have a baby girl you know; it takes the edge of the grown-up-woman-playing-with-toys-wackiness I have going on here…
Hi everyone :)
Rather special

The picture for this article was taken a long time ago… remember?

My gosh I have great blog-readers. Makes me so happy to read through your sweet comments. Thanks for all your well wishes.Vilja feels much better now but she is still tired and a bit cranky.
I’m happy to inform you that Gitte won the competition -all because of you -I’m sure! Isn’t that great?

Lovely lovely Sunday
October 10, 2010
Anders has been away from home for a few days and Vilja has not been sleeping much, -neither have I. But today my in laws came by with dinner and took over for a while. I had a nap a meal and a break and Vilja had a shower and lots of fun. Now she is sleeping like an angel and I have had an evening with time to take a look at the good old minihome. Lucky me. Lovely lovely Sunday.

Miniature update
July 10, 2010
Right now the mini-home is a mess, but I am working on the sofa and it’s coming out pretty well. Only needs legs.

Mini
May 10, 2010
First thing in the mini-home that needs replacement is the sofa. When I was pregnant I became aware of how bad it was to sit in. For a few weeks we pushed it aside and placed a big mattress on the floor. Then the day before Vilja was born we bought a new much bigger and softer couch that I practically live in it these days. Sadly this mini-leather-version gotta go.
Okay here goes…
May 7, 2010
As most of you know my miniature home has been pushed aside by my this miniature-person lately. It has been standing on top of a closet for quite a while now and when I took it down today I realized that I have changed A LOT of stuff in our home since the last time I worked on it. Most of the furnitures has been removed or replaced and quite a few baby-items like a nursing-table, a rocking horse and a tiny bench has sneaked inhere meanwhile. Now I have this sudden urge to empty the house completely and start all over -just for the fun of it!
And now to the mystery box from yesterday. As I said it was from Poland and more specifically it was from a fellow blogger of mine ‘Aga Plieth’. Imagine how surprised I was when I opened this present? ‘Aga Plieth’ made me a perfect miniature-copy of Vilja’s yellow crib.
I had such a busy day yesterday that I only had time to open it right before I went to bed and I became so excited about this gesture that I almost couldt’n fall asleep afterwords.
Thank you so much ‘Aga Plieth‘ your present blew me away.
And just to keep you guys tuned; this was not the only thing in the surprise package, I’ll show you more soon.
Miniature home…
January 6, 2010
I have seriously neglected my mini-home lately and I’m drowning in things that has to be re-placed or re-done down there…
This baby in my belly is already making it harder for me to get things done. -Both because I’m really tired most of the time, but also because I’m slowly starting to rearrange our real-live-home and make it more baby-friendly. I’m tidying up closets and shelf’s to make more room for all the baby-stuff that has already begun to sneak in here.
Anyway our home looks different than usual and it’s probably going to continue to change for a while forward so my motivation towards the mini-home has left me for a while. Hopefully it’ll be back again soon…
Bryggebladet

The local paper at ‘Islands Brygge’ brought an article about my mini-home today! You can read it here (in Danish).
I promise I’ll get back to comment-answering tomorrow!
Thursday…

The miniature-blackboard-wall is new. I think you’ve seen the rest before.
I did some unintentional moving around the furnitures (real life! -not mini-world) again last Weekend -I never plan to do so, but it seems to happen pretty often anyway :) -All I intended to do was move a single painting or something like that -then the next thing I know everything around it looks a bit wrong and of course I have to move that to.
Anders usually comes home laughing and shaking his head at all these silly projects I’ve got going. -Unfortunately now I have to ask him for help, after being pregnant and therefore not allowed to lift heavy furniture…
Anyway, the point is; I have new work to do in the miniature home.
Happy Thursday everyone!
Luckily the wood has gone lost
September 25, 2009

Last night I finished the miniature-house dining room chairs. I made the seats (out of very thick cardboard) a long time ago, but couldn’t decide how to make the legs. I ended up folding them in metal wire. The reason why I didn’t just do this at first, was that I actually didn’t think it would work out good enough. I admit they could be more detailed, but I’m satisfied with this result.
I’m having the day off and so far I’m enjoying every single second of it :-) the sky is so so blue and the sun shines beautifully trough my windows. On days like this a quiet place, a book and a cup of coffee is my idea of perfect. I’m reading a book of poems by an old friend of mine “Peter-Clement Woetmann” this book is called “Heldigvis er skoven blevet væk”=”Luckily the wood has gone lost”
In the paper!
September 20, 2009
There is an article about me and my mini-home in the Danish newspaper “Berlingske tidende” today, it is written by Sara Skarum who found me though this blog. The pictures (in the paper) is by Nicolai Linares.

Once again I’m surprised by how people find this project fascinating, it makes me so flattered. When I first started out two years ago I would never had thought anyone but me would be interested. Seems I was wrong…

I haven’t done much to the mini-home recently . I’ve been in a slow-moving-phase working on the house but things like these makes me really motivated, it is such a wonderful compliment. Now I can’t wait to build something, I’m just not sure what?
