My dad and step mum brought us fresh home-grown asparagus from their house on Samsø, uhhm.
As a kid I was taught not to eat in front of the television, so posting this picture actually makes me a bit ashamed…
Uh, and another thing; as a kid I also used to play with the rocking horse in the background and before me, my mum used to play with it. When I reunited with it recently I was shocked how much smaller it has become during the years… Is it true you get a bit nostalgic when you get kids of your own? I’m thinking of painting it now -the horse. New generations new colours right? -any ideas???
Don’t paint it – keep the nostalgia! Looks lovely as is….and now I want asparagus ;)

The horse looks fierce. :) I’d paint it with pastel colours, but I’d keep white body.
I think I like the horse the way it is too!
But… I also agree that a white body with other pretty colours around the head could look fantastic!
That looks so good!
I always wanted to have a yellow horse. Maybe Vilja wants one too?;)
hey brinja, dont paint it – it looks great. But if you will: green with violett. greetings to copenhagen
I treasure similar things passed down the family line though I doubt I’d paint it. I like that you are toying with doing so… it sounds like time for a coat of fresh paint.
I remember this horse on Varpunen blog, in Finnish I don’t understand any of it but the pictures are very inspirational

The old red and gold trim would pop if the horse were black. I heard the TV rule, too, (American, but part Danish) but the news was usually on during dinner anyway, so all I had to do was turn sideways from the table. Sadly, this was during the Vietnam War…. So my advice is keep the rule for Vilja. <3
Oh no! Don’t paint the horse! It’s so beautiful this way!
[…] It has become brow/white now, remember how it looked before? […]
