Becoming a bigsister has got some pretty good advantages… like very cool presents!!!
We went on a trip outside the city last week to visit Michaels parents. They met Kornelius for the first time and were of course thrilled. As a congrats-you-are-now- a-big-sister-gift and a welcome-to-the-world-gift. Vilja and Kornelius was given each a tree. Vilja an apple tree (she LOVES those shiny red apples) and Kornelius a walnut tree.
What a lovely gift… and very thoughtful that Michael’s parents have included Vilja so nicely! Happiness and best wishes to you all :)
What a great gift!! I also got a tree when I was a child – it’s still in my parent’s backyard and it’s huge!! (Not that I’m that old.. ;) ) They also spelled my name in daffodils in another corner of the garden. I’m not sure if it would work with Kornelius though.. ;)
What a lovely idea :)
Vilja looks so happy to be a big sister.
Sikke fine gaver.

Oeh, you should also have buried the placenta (yup I know it’s gross) underneath the tree…
It’s really good nutrients, as far as I may believe my mum – who is a midwife!
She planted an apple tree pretty much like Vilja’s (are the apples also pale white on the inside? Those will become soo so pretty!) when I was born and it has been given lots and lots of shiny red apples since I was about 10.
But it is supernice anyhow, even without the placenta, I always felt special as a kid since I had my “own” tree :))
Sikke en fantastisk fin gave! Og et kæmpe tillykke med lille Kornelius. Det er vel nok et dejligt navn <3
