Did I ever show you this magnificent present that Anders gave me on our wedding day in September…

This week has felt like forever the christmas rush has begun. Now I look forward to a long Sunday of doing nothing at all.

This weekend I got something done that I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I cleaned up my closet and hung my collection of hats on the wall. I love that when I do silly stuff like this Anders doesn’t mind. In fact when he saw the whole hat-display yesterday he just said: Wow honey that looks real pretty, you’re so smart!
Today is a snowy Monday…
Setting the clock for winter time really messed up my feeling of day and night.
It’s dark when I go home from work…
The colors in the shop is changing along with the season, here are some colors of fall.
I have been experimenting with different types of jewellery boxex for a while now, I keep turning back to brown boxes with golden logo, witch I think works out very well. Here is a new one in purple, I don’t think it is a keeper, but for a change it’s okay.
I had a customer calling the shop today asking for a hairband she had seen in the danish magazine Femina.
I don’t know how it got there, but I rushed to the store to look it up and here it is, Yay…
The funny thing about fashion trends is that sometimes when something becomes a big hit like “buffalo’s”, earmuffs, skulls or bordaux coloured lipstick, it seems to loose its magic and no matter what, you can never look at it again with the same eyes as before…. The hairband situation accually started two years ago, I made some with bows, like the ones on the picture. They were really popular, but the “bow thing” became a massive hit all around town and I stopped making them when I saw something that looked like them in H&M. Then my plan was to make something that worked like them, but different, and I made the flower hairband, witch became even more succesful. Now, lately I’ve had costumors asking for the bow hairband, so I made them again and now they are back in the game! The buttom line is, that rarely a fashion trend survives being a hit and still works after “the storm” -If it does, it can accually get even better after a while. I think the bow hairbands might have survived….
A turban of mine was photografed for the September issue of the danish magazine Eurowoman. I still feel kind of shy when I see my name in magazines. I don’t think I’m cut out for this “famous” designer show, wonder if I’ll get used to it some day?
It kind of bothers me that they did the styling of the turban all wrong, the Brinja logo is supposed to be placed in the center and the knot to the side. Well, who am I to complain, here it is…
